Settings Guide
This page describes every user-visible option on the settings page, including what each option means, its default behavior, and when it is useful.
How to Open It
- On the DeepSeek Chat page, click "More" at the bottom right.
- Choose "Settings".
- The extension opens the settings page in a new tab.
The settings page contains four sections:
- General Settings
- Word Settings
- PDF Settings
- Image Settings
General Settings
Export Thinking Process
Export Thinking Process
- Enabled by default
- If a response includes "thinking process" content, the exported file includes that part as well
- If disabled, only the final response is exported
AI Response Action Buttons
AI Response Bottom "Edit" Button
- Disabled by default
- When enabled, an "Edit and Export" entry appears below each AI response
AI Response Bottom "Add to Notebook" Button
- Enabled by default
- When disabled, the "Add to Notebook" entry is no longer shown below responses

Bottom Action Bar: buttons appear in the response's bottom action bar for a more compact layoutBelow AI Response: buttons appear as a standalone area below the response
Export Button Order and Visibility
Export Button Order and Visibility
- Supports drag-and-drop sorting
- You can hide rarely used formats individually
- TXT is hidden by default
Click "Reset Order and Visibility" to restore the default state.
Settings Backup and Restore
Export Settings
- Exports the current settings as a JSON file
- Useful for backup before changing devices or reinstalling the extension
Import Settings
- Restores settings from a JSON file
- Only recognized and valid settings are imported
- Notebook data, statistics, and account status are not imported
Reset All Settings
Reset All Settings
- Restores settings to their defaults
- Does not delete conversation content
- Does not delete notebook data
- Does not delete statistics
Word Settings
Document Properties
Author
- Writes author metadata into exported Word documents
Tags
- Writes document keywords
Last Modified By
- Writes the last editor information into the document
All three fields can be left empty.
Style Presets
Style Preset
- Supports maintaining multiple Word style presets
- You can switch quickly before export
Available Actions
- Create preset
- Rename preset
- Delete preset
Limits
- The system default preset cannot be renamed
- The system default preset cannot be deleted
- When the system default preset is selected, its style parameters cannot be edited directly
- At least one preset must be kept
Body Text Style
Body Font
- Available fonts include both Chinese and English families such as SimSun, Microsoft YaHei, SimHei, KaiTi, FangSong, DengXian, Calibri, Arial, and Times New Roman
Body Font Size (pt)
- Range: 6 to 72
Body Line Spacing
- Range: 1.0 to 3.0
Heading Styles
For H1 through H6, you can set:
- Font
- Font size
Reset Word Settings
Resets only Word-related settings and does not affect other sections.
PDF Settings
Header Settings
You can configure the left, center, and right parts of the header separately.
Available content:
- Hidden
- File name
- Date
- Date and time
- Export source
Page Number Settings
Show Page Numbers
- Disabled by default
Page Number Position
- Left
- Center
- Right
Page Number Style
- Page number only
- Page number / total pages
Reset PDF Settings
Resets only PDF-related settings.
Image Settings
Theme and Interaction
Default Theme
- Used as the default theme for image export
Show Theme Selector
- Enabled: choose a theme before exporting PNG
- Disabled: use the default theme directly when exporting PNG
Top AI Badge
Show Top AI Badge
- Disabled by default
- When enabled, the exported image shows an AI badge at the top
- When disabled, it does not
Reset Image Settings
Resets only image export settings.
