How to Use the Notebook

This page explains how to save responses to the notebook, organize content, and back up or restore data.

Open the Notebook

Click the notebook button at the bottom right to open it.

Add a Response to the Notebook

1. Click Add to Notebook below an AI response.
2. Choose which folder to save it to, or create a new folder directly.
3. Enter or adjust the note title.
4. Confirm to save.
5. After saving, the notebook opens automatically and jumps to that note.

Organize Content in the Notebook

Create a Folder

1. Open the notebook.
2. Click the New Folder button on the left.
3. Enter the folder name.

Create a Note

1. Create or choose a location in the target folder.
2. Click New Note.
3. Edit the title and body.

Edit a Note

• You can edit the title directly
• You can edit the body directly
• Content is saved automatically

Rename, Delete, and Move Notes

In the note list, you can perform these actions on regular notes:

• Rename
• Delete
• Move to another folder

Export the Current Note

1. Open the target note.
2. Click the Download button at the top.
3. Choose an export format.

The available formats for the current note depend on the menu.

• TXT is not provided
• HTML is not provided
• Excel is shown only when the note content contains tables

Back Up the Entire Notebook

1. Open the notebook.
2. Click Export Data at the top right.
3. Save the generated JSON file.

That file can be used for later restoration.

Restore Notebook Data

1. Open the notebook.
2. Click Import Data at the top right.
3. Choose a previously exported JSON file.
4. After import finishes, it overwrites the current notebook content and restores it in the current browser.

Important Notes

Where Data Is Stored

Notebook data is stored locally in the current browser by default.

Back Up Before Uninstalling

Uninstalling the extension may clear local notebook data. For important content, it is recommended to do both:

1. Export the entire notebook data
2. Export key individual notes again as Word, PDF, or Markdown

System Instruction Note

The notebook includes a built-in system instruction note used for long-term guidance. This note cannot be edited, deleted, or moved, and it cannot be exported individually.
